Native Made

We are a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization and Native - Indigenous to the Four Corners region of the Southwest. We are a "values-based" social business, that means we adhere to principles of social justice and environmental sustainability. The way we farm, gather, create, and live is to Protect the Precious: to protect our children, our water, our land, and our sacred way of life.

We are Navajo farmers, soap makers, herb gatherers, medicine men and women; we take the best of our ancient traditions  and create hozho' (beauty and harmony)  through our farm and wild-gathered products, our art form of home, body and wellness products.

Some of our medicine is sung in  Ceremony, in the Hogan, with medicine  men and women. Before each  ceremony we  wash to prepare ourselves for the  healing to come. So: creating soaps that cleanse, purify, lift our spirits and communicate with the Holy is part of our ancient culture. We offer this to you, through our beautiful way - our corn pollen path we call it, and with our blessingway prayer that is core to our way of life. With each bar of soap we include a copy of this prayer, this way of beauty, harmony and balance - which we call hozho'.

Together we collect  the wild plants, prepare the soap  using the best oils  and ingredients. Then we let it cure for a month before wrapping it in traditional corn husks. We send you our warmest Navajo greetings - ya'ateeh It means hello and also means that we wish all may be well with you.

Walk in Beauty - Hozho'

(Navajo Blessingway Prayer)

In beauty may I walk.
All day long may I walk.
Through the returning seasons may I walk.
On the trail marked with pollen may I walk.
With grasshoppers about my feet may I walk.
With dew about my feet may I walk.
With beauty may I walk.
With beauty before me may I walk.
With beauty behind me may I walk.
With beauty above me may I walk.
With beauty below me may I walk.
With beauty all around me may I walk.
In old age, wandering on a trail of beauty, lively, may I walk.
In old age, wandering on a trail of beauty, living again,
may I walk.
It is finished in beauty.
It is finished in beauty.
